Here we are again

Yes. Life. It doesn't stop. Every second of every day, in fact, approximately 80 times a second; my mind experiences the now. We see approx 80 frames pr. second. Good drummers measured in laboratories have accurately produced and reproduced timings down to a 300th part of a second.

Yes. Life. Now in numbers. The everyday reality of it doesn't have so many numbers, maybe you work with numbers but that's not the same. Or, don't we all work with numbers now? In a sense?

We all use computers and telephones; and stuff. So much stuff running binary code. Little numbers, 0 and 1 is 1, 1 and 0 is one, 1 and 1 is one, 0 and 0 is zero. So say the gospel of the AND logic. This is your life, this is your time, you show me the world, but I don't care; a song by... maybe Smokie, something like that.

I've seen the real world and the televised world. Or maybe I've seen nothing at all but that's academic, point is... Right. Point is, it's not the same. Hah, bet you didn't see that one coming. Pardon my french but I just played through Loom, Monkey Island 2, Indiana Jones and the last Crusade, Zak McKraken... and some others I can't remember right now. Also, I'm fairly psychotic and not so accountable as I ideally should be, sign of the times. Oh, and a little personal issue with the economy(ahem). I'm currently working on making myself make a phonecall to the proper authorities who will give me money for the rent and some food. Meanwhile I'm living off old credit cards from the glory days when I worked and prospered, yeah... right.

It's strangely antagonistic, this telephone device, it has always given me the creeps somehow. *unnatural* -oooh. I must telephone to make the appointment. That's the hurdle. To present myself in public office at this stage will require serious... work. I shun away from it as the very numbers that support my existence dwindle down to their inevitable zero. In economic reality the numbers are way into the red and in a sense has been so since I left school with nothing but a big loan, ten years ago. Anyway.

SO. I'm going to the 20th anniversary party on local rock'n'roll haven Rockefeller. This is because I designed two wall paintings for their entrance. So tonight I'm traversing the underground looking for the energy required, I've made a stop waiting for a phonecall... ooops, there it is. Gotta go.
