Wii

As the new nintendo console is approaching, for the first time since I saw the original playstation and the n64, I am excitedly awaiting for the release of a video game console.

As far as I'm concerned the xbx360 gave me nothing I couldn't get from the xbox or the ps2. Better graphics? Perhaps, but not really all that noticable on a standard definition television. And the inclusion of a HDTV will drive the price to higher than a super gaming pc, which I'd prefer, and already own.

Gameplay was unchanged since ps1 or n64.

The Wii is new in every way that the ps3 or 360 is old. And as far as graphics is concerned: it's good enough.

I want it. I want to able to play games without getting infection in my hands. I want to slash out like I'm holding a sword and my in-game character will hit someone with a sword. I want to point at the screen with the controller and shoot someone. Call me viscious.

Normally, I respect toms hardware, but this time they're just not getting it.

they say the Wii is to lame(technically) to be the choice of the hardcore gamer. They're wrong. The Wii is the choice of the hardcore gamer while the ps3 or the 360 is for the lamer. Why? Because the Wii is about games, while ps3 or 360 is about technical spec. and multimedia. They're family devices, not hardcore.

As far as I'm concerned, the Wii is the best thing that happened to gaming since 3d rendering. In fact, the only thing.
