If you have a vested interest in something, say "the war on terror(TM)" -where some investors have invested hundreds of billions of dollars, you would make sure that your product("the war on terror(TM)") had a use. Like killing terrorists, but first -you need to catch some terrorists, and if you can't; you make them.

And now that the fear-mongers are upon us again, I can't help but remember their many lies. And now that they're telling me to be afraid, I can't help but remember how a reputable newspaper like le Monde printed the now famous theory that the US government took down the WTC by demolitions on their front page only recently.

Yeah, I may be afraid -but not of the "terrorists".
