Egocasting
Read Regina Lynns coloumn in Wired.
Fascinating.
I'd definetly call myself an egocaster to some degree.
Should I worry?
Nah, I've argued elsewhere that humanity seems to work better in small groups rather than in large ones. And that this perhaps is the future.
In fact the whole 7 billion by 2012 paradigm disturbs me. We're pushing the boundaries of this space ship we're travelling in until breaking point. And if it breaks we all die.
And macro society as a whole disturbs me. I feel uncomfortable of having possibilities of my life goverened by the least possible common denominator of humanity. Some of it I plain disagree with whilst other parts of it are completely incomprehensible.
Our capacity to get hurt is much to large for coping with this much society.
It is illogical.
I sometimes wonder if man travelled on, nor for food, but to get away from the other men; back in the day before civilization.
