Here we go again

DRM, the scourge of the internet.

Yes, yes. So what do I think *now*?

I think that the old business model is irrelevant. We don't need products which has a vast initial outlay, such as Hollywood blockbuster(when did you last see a good $200 million movie? Be honest.)

And you can record a record of music on your cheap taiwanese cell phone.

So what I'm saying is that making art is cheap. We should be selling it at 'the right price' which is the price where if I spend a month making something then I sell it for a months worth of living expenses.

And a record industry which thinks Mariah Carey is worth a billion is just -irrelevant. And also, the record industry have long since proven beyond doubt that they're in it for the money -not the art. And thus they are obviously not the right people to sell me music. Ditto Hollywood.

Moneymakers are boring kind of people, how can any of them ever produce a movie that I will think is exciting?

So what I'm saying is not only that the record and movie business is going out of busines. But that I actually want them to go out of busines, there is no doubt in my mind that if we get rid of these people then the quality of released music and films will go up.
