It is ironic, yet iconic

that my parents and my sister got an HDTV before I got one. They don't know what it is, except for better, which it isn't beacuse they don't have any hd content, nor do they have any plans to get such content. They only watch sd content, and their hdtv significantly reduce imagequality on sd content. So though they spent alot of money on hdtv, it has significantly reduced the quality of the tv that they watch.

But they are flat. And that is why they wanted it.

I own a hd camera, I posess hd content(You wouldn't believe how absolutely stunning Shrek looks in hd), and I posess very hi rez computer monitors which makes their hdtvs look like jokes, such as a two 3mp sony trinitons, 21" each. I also own two video projectors, one lcd the other dlp, both 800x600.

I really like the dlp.

My current video camera is my... seventh?... something like that.
I have 35mm slr which uses film, i have good lenses for it. I have a 1.3mp digital point and shoot camera that is almost a decade old and weighs a ton. Still makes good pictures which beats hands down my friends 3mp camera that's in his mobile.
My videocamera can make 2.5mp stills, looks ok i guess, nothing special...

I once used an olympus 8mp camera with a big lens. Those pictures looked good but i never devised a way to focus it, it was a hit or miss proposition. You need an slr to focus a hi rez system. Have the same problem with my videocamera, there is no way to focus it apart from bringing a hi-rez monitor in the field, and the only output is analogue component. A portable hi-rez monitor with component input would cost more than my entire infrastucture. While it may seem like I've spent alot of money on technology I actually haven't. My computer now consists entirely of parts that I've worked for, most of my other still functioning techno has the same story. Give me a hard drive and I'll produce you a pop song, give me dinner and I'll shoot you a little film. I'm like that. I don't like money. When people ask me how much money I want to do something I just stare at them. I have virtually never worked for money. That means I'm broke 99% of the time but I'm fine with that 90% of the time. My economy is barter economy, and when I look at the pathetic state of the global economy I know I'm so far ahead of these other losers. Like my own government, they are willing to pay me money to do nothing, but they won't give me money to do what I do. Is that not a loser attitude? Looks like losers to me.

It is also evil, to deny a man his talent yet pay for and insist on his existence.
If the government was good it would pay for a decent suicide.
